Core Aeration/Overseeding

A lush green lawn adds curb appeal and value to your home or business. Learn why aeration and over seeding are important to protecting your investment, especially in Zone 6 where drought and weeds are so prevalent.

Core Aeration. Holes are punched into the turf to allow moisture, oxygen, and nutrients to penetrate the soil. Aeration reduces soil compaction, enhances thatch breakdown, improves water infiltration, response to fertilizer, soil composition and maximizes turf grass rooting. Most importantly, core aeration makes lawns less susceptible to damage from weeds, insects, drought, and disease.

Over Seeding. When aeration is combined with over seeding, an established lawn becomes less compacted and its density greatly improved. We recommend aeration and over seeding once each season for established lawns.

Power seeding. To fill bare spots or repair lawn damage due to drought or grub damage, power seeding will turn a spotty or thin lawn into a lush turf carpet. We cut rows into the soil and plant high quality seed in the rows.
